Aavin
milk price hike comes into effect
The Government of Tamilnadu has
decided to increase the procurement price of buffalo
milk by Rs.4 per litre and of cow milk by Rs.2 per litre
to milk producers of Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk
Producers' Federation's (Aavin) wef 10-03-08 ( Monday ).
Consequently, the selling price of various kinds of milk
follows a hike.
Since the
increase in price of Aavin milk will come into effect on
Monday March 10, 2008. Cardholders who have already bought
milk cards at old price have been asked to pay the
difference in price at zonal offices
of Aavin and milk consumer cooperative societies.

Difference
to be levied
Cardholders
have been asked to pay the difference in price for the March
8-15 period at zonal offices of Aavin and milk consumer
cooperative societies. Those who have purchased cards for the
period March 16 - April 15 are also required to pay the
difference at the same offices. The difference must be paid
before March 12.
