Sholinganallur Dairy

Dairy is situated at Sholinganallur on Old Mahabalipuram Road on the Information Technology Corridor. Sholinganallur Dairy was established during May 1995 with a handling capacity of 4.0 Lakh Litres per day, 3.0 Lakh Litres for Bulk Vending despatches and 1.0 Lakh Litres per day in sachets. The present handling is 3.4 Lakh Litres per day in sachets and 0.3 Lakh Litres per day for Bulk Vending despatches.

This is the first automatic Dairy having Reception, Quality check and Processing with Programmed Logistics Control System. The dairy is equipped with Processing, Quality assurance, CIP, Packing and Cold Storage facilities. Dairy is equipped with latest Effluent Treatment Plant to handle 5.0 Lakh Litres per day. Effluent Treatment Plant is operated as per the Tamilnadu Pollution Control Board norms and the treated trade effluent water is used for agriculture purpose within the Dairy premises. This Dairy caters the needs of South Chennai and Pheripheral areas upto Chengalpet, Kalpakkam in the South and upto Kancheepuram on the West.
