The
procurement wing of this Union has achieved a lot towards the
development of this Union.
Due
to the effective steps taken and by Improving the input activities the
milk procurement has been Increased from 79.642 LPD during 1991.92 to
1,97,691 LPD during 2000-2001. Now
an average of 6305 Nos Of AI has been done every month through 179 Sub
Centers. There are 7 Mobile Veterinary Routes are operated for
providing health cover to the animals available with the members of
the Societies. Every month an average of 4176 Nos. of cases are
attended through the 7 Mobile veterinary Routes.
With
a view to uplift the lift the status of the Adi. Dravida members of
the Societies the Government has sanctioned the milch animal loan @
Rs.12,000/-per animal with the subsidy of Ra.4,000/- per animal as
detailed below.
The
Calves of the milch animals purchased under the above
schemes have been brought under Calf Rearing Scheme to the
total NO of 100 Calves for every year with the subsidy of
Rs.10,690/~per calf towards the supply of free vaccines, calf starter
feed to the above Calves.
Like
wise for the benefit of the Backward Class members and
Minority members of the societies, milch animal loan was
released by the Backward
class/Minorities Economic Development Corporation. Chennai.
